Students build a personal profile which includes school marks and interests. The profile becomes more holistic as the user engages with the platform. Content on the app (notably: articles or opportunities uploaded by corporates and universities) would be tailored to the student’s initial personality profile. The app then tracks their interaction with content over time.
Over time the student completes a series of short quizzes based on psychometric research, along with aggregated data generated by student interaction with content on the platform. This effectively combines proven psychological metrics with continuous big-data aggregation techniques, allowing us to identify the student's individual strengths and make recommendations regarding field and degree choice.
Zelda combines traditional methods of psychometric assessment with advances in data analytics and machine learning to redefine career guidance. Based on the student's interaction with the platform, they will become connected to relevant bursary and funding opportunities. The platform allows students to then apply for those opportunities and provides CV and interview tips to improve the quality of their applications.
Students can complete funding, bursary, university and job applications through the app. Since our goal is free education, students will not pay to use the platform. Instead, companies who are looking to hire high-potential graduates will pay to find students who fit their requirements and corporate culture through the platform.
